BINTULU: Sarawak Day was observed enthusiastically today in Tatau with a vehicle convoy hosted by the Anap Recreation Club.
About 40 vehicles have joined the convoy with 100 participants involved.
The club’s chairman Gilbert Ngadi said their convoy started from Pasar Lama Tatau and then around Tatau town before going to Wong Adai, Jalan Sangan Merit.
“This convoy event was organised to support today’s Sarawak Day celebration.
“It will also encourage our people to love our Sarawak, and together we will defend the relationship and unity of the people in this multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi-religious state,” he said today.
Also joining the programme were Assistant Administrative Officer of Tatau District Office Long Jok, SMK Tatau principal Dr Layang Ugek and local chief Alister Alli Digat.
