KUCHING: The Awareness Programme on Sarawak Delta Geopark (SDGp) Series 4/2022  aims to spread awareness to every branch of the community about its existence and importance to the state.

In addition, a programme like this aims to prepare everyone to become agents of disseminating information to communities that have not yet been exposed to this SDGp and also provide information to foreign and domestic tourists who come to Sarawak.

New Sarawak Tribune talked to people to get their feedback on the programme.

LEONG WAI HENG, 20 (Batu Lintang Campus IPG Student)

I am excited to participate in the SDGp Awareness Programme Series 4/2022 because this is the first time I have been involved. I see this is also a good initiative to help us appreciate nature and geological resources in this state.

This is a good programme and I am excited to join it because we can learn about the geological heritage and know more about this SDGp. I hope that programmes like this can be organised again in the future to involve students like us.

I feel the programme can give more exposure to the community about the tourism product. This is so that we can know its importance to the state of Sarawak and the community.

A programme like this can enable the community to be agents for disseminating information to others who still do not know SDGp. We who are involved can also provide information to domestic and foreign tourists who come to Sarawak about SDGp.
