KUCHING: Sarawak demonstrated its ‘Same Day Registration’ system for land title and instrument registration during the 81st National Land Council meeting held in Putrajaya yesterday (Sept 19).
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who attended the meeting, presented the digital system now used by the Sarawak Land and Survey Department (JTS) to streamline land application processes, allowing approvals to be completed within the same day.
“The ‘Same Day Registration’ is an improvement from the ‘One Day Registration’ introduced in 2009, which previously processed submissions made today for completion the next day.
“Under the Same Day Registration, documents submitted before 11 am are completed by 5 pm on the same day,” it said in a statement.
This system, in use since 2019, has been accredited with ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Also present were Ministry of Urban Development and Natural Resources permanent secretary Datuk Abdullah Julaihi and JTS director Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmood.
