BARCELONA: Sarawak is exploring innovative approaches and collaborative networking tactics at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024 (MWC24) to revitalise the digital and telecommunications landscape.

Immersing themselves in cutting-edge technologies and engaging in dialogue with key industry figures, the Sarawak delegates aim to forge strategic partnerships to speed up digital transformation within the state, aligning with key drivers of economic progress.

Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi expressed his enthusiasm for participating in MWC 2024, a platform that convenes innovators, thought leaders, and industry experts worldwide.

“Our presence at MWC2024 underscores our commitment to driving innovation and leveraging technology to address the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.

“It is also important that Sarawak’s development plans and initiatives are visible globally,” he said in a recent statement.

Throughout MWC24, the delegation will participate in various technical and study visits to identify opportunities and explore the latest technologies conducive to Sarawak’s developmental goals.

The Sarawak delegation also launched Ruai Sarawak, showcased at MWC 2024, which highlights the digital economy initiatives outlined in the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030, highlighting its commitment to drive innovation and foster growth in the digital landscape.

For the record, MWC Barcelona is the largest and most influential event in the connectivity and mobile communications sector.

It is participated by professionals and industrial players from various verticals related to connectivity, digital innovation, and technology attend the annual conference, showcasing the latest technologies in the telecommunications sector.
