KUCHING: Sarawak are aiming to win 64 gold medals at the 14th Malaysia Para Games (Para Sukma), which will kick off in Kuala Lumpur from Nov 1 to 6.

Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah told the media this after the ceremony to hand over the Sarawak flag to the contingent head.

Some 134 Sarawakians will compete in 11 sports, including athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, boccia, powerlifting and archery.

Earlier, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg presented the Sarawak flag to chef de mission Mohamad Razi Sitam, who is also the Deputy Minister for Community Wellbeing Development.

Also present were Deputy Minister for Women and Childhood Development, Datuk Rosey Yunus and Sarawak Social Welfare Department director Noriah Ahmad.
