KUCHING: Sarawak’s Aquatic Diving Squad Strikes Gold Again in the 10m Mixed Synchronized Platform Event on Friday (Aug 23).

On the final day of the competition, the diving duo of Muhammad Lutfir Rahman Mohammad Razak and Nurul Farisya Alia Affendi delivered a stellar performance during the ongoing 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA) Sarawak 2024, held at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre.

The pair showcased an outstanding display, amassing a total of 234.66 points to secure the gold medal for Sarawak.

Meanwhile, the silver medal was claimed by the duo from Perak, Megat Azim Hakimi Megat Nor Ismail and Cecelia Olivia Christopher Leoneil, who scored 209.94 points.

Third place went to the team from the Federal Territories, represented by Jia Gee Ng and Nurqayyum Nazmi Mohamad Nazim, who earned 203.97 points.

Following the triumph, the Sarawak diving team continued to contribute to the home medal tally, securing silver and bronze medals in the final diving event, the Women’s 3m Springboard Final.

The silver was claimed by Dayang Nursharzyra Awang Nasaruddin, who scored 228.25 points while the bronze was won by Nur Eilisha Rania Muhammad Abrar Raj, with 225.70 points.

The gold medal was won by the Federal Territories’ Lee Yiat Qing, who scored 231.20 points.

In diving, Sarawak has collected a total of nine golds, three silvers, and two bronzes.
