PANTU: The Sarawak government remains steadfast in its efforts to resolve documentation-related issues regarding citizenship status.
In line with this commitment, the Special Task Force Operation Programme (PPK) was launched at Dewan Sri Pantu here, spanning five days, aimed at assisting residents in securing citizenship.
A total of 190 residents from the Pantu district submitted their applications to the National Registration Department (JPN).
The initiative, a collaborative effort between the National Registration Department, Sarawak Enforcement and Security Unit (UKPS), and the local penghulu, is aimed at streamlining the application process for Sarawakians without a citizenship status.
Penghulu Johnny Lumie thanked the government for consistently facilitating the application process through such initiatives, stressing the convenience it brings to applicants as it eliminates the need to travel to the NRD office in Bandar Sri Aman.
