DARO: Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad reiterated the Sarawak government’s dedication to supporting entrepreneurs in the state through the provision of infrastructure and knowledge.

He stated that knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship is crucial for entrepreneurs because “entrepreneurship is always dynamic and changing due to market and societal changes.”

“Equipped with the latest knowledge that is relevant to the changing times, we can address and balance these issues.

“If training is consistently carried out and utilised to the fullest by entrepreneurs, it will remain relevant indefinitely,” he added.

Safiee was speaking to the media after officiating the handover ceremony of the Mobile Kiosk Entrepreneurship Assistance, Bumiputera Entrepreneur Enhancement Programme (PUTERA), at the Daro Community Hall, recently.

The ceremony is part of the PUTERA programme to assist small Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the Matu and Daro areas to enhance their business status.

A total of 20 mobile kiosk units were handed over to entrepreneurs identified by the Matu Daro District Council (MDMD).

“Daro is rapidly developing with the implementation of various direct development projects, facilitating local entrepreneurs’ business affairs.

“Entrepreneurs in this area need to be prepared from now on. When the mega project, namely the Muara Lassa Bridge, is completed, it will be a game-changer for the economic landscape of the local residents,” he explained.

He added that the Entrepreneur Pavilion Project, Permanent Farmers Market Building, and Daro River Embankment Project will also be major attractions in the area.
