KUCHING: Despite being the largest shareholder in Affin Bank, the Sarawak government does not have any representative in Affin’s board at the moment, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has disclosed.

“However, we have already appointed a candidate for the position,” said the Premier.

He said this during a press conference after witnessing the Share And Purchase Agreement (SPA) between the Sarawak Government, Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT), and Boustead Holdings Berhad at Sheraton Hotel here, today (Sept 27).

For the record, the SPA was signed by State Financial secretary Datuk Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar and Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) chief executive Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi.
