KUCHING: It is proven that Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is sincere in developing Sarawak according to its own mould.
Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) senior vice-president Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said that ever since Abang Johari took over to lead the state, he has been working and moving non-stop throughout the state to ensure that developments are implemented for the people.
“There are many programmes that have been done by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
“So, when the election comes, we do not want the people to forget what the chief minister has done for the progress of Sarawak,” he said.
He added that apart from carrying out projects, Abang Johari and the GPS government also provided financial assistance for Sarawakians.
“The chief minister’s sincere struggle to help and fight for Sarawak’s rights has also proven successful.
“Among them is where the state managed to collect revenue from the imposition of the State Sales Tax (SST) on petroleum products,” he said.
Earlier, Fadillah held a meeting with PBB Satok’s Women Wing at the PBB Headquarters, Jalan Bako.
Also present were Satok PBB division deputy chief Datuk Ibrahim Baki, vice chairman Hilmy Othman, political secretary to the chief minister Samad Gany, and PBB Satok Women chief Datuk Dayang Madinah Tun Openg as well as head of branches.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim also called on PBB Satok’s Women Wing to carry out their responsibilities as frontline workers during the election with commitment as the 12th state election is facing the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also urged party members to explain the GPS symbol to the voters, especially among the senior citizens.
