BALINGIAN: The Sarawak Kembara Merdeka convoy arrived in Balingian from Mukah in conjunction with the Sarawak 60th Independence Day.

A total of 18 vehicles were involved and continued their tour to Balingian, on Saturday.

The convoy was flagged off by Federal Deputy Minister of Economy and Mukah Member of Parliament Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib from Mukah

The local community greeted the convoy and presented traditional dances of the communities in Sarawak to the convoy participants.

Mukah District Officer Nolin Gendang as the convoy leader handed over Sarawak 60th Independence Day flag to the Balingian Sub-District Office administrative officer Dominic Ahjun.

The handing over of the flag was witnessed by the Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi.
