LUNDU: Sarawak Kitchen being at every festival or carnival has benefitted entrepreneurs to increase their income and promote local dishes to visitors. Assistant Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais said Sarawak Kitchen or popularly known as ‘Dapur Sarawak’ has managed to draw visitors to the carnival or festival.
“We named it ‘Sarawak Kitchen’ and location with the aim of promoting local products. “We give priority to local entrepreneurs to sell their products apart from them earning extra incomes and providing convenience to the visitors,” he said after launching the soft opening of Pesta Lundu 2018 and Showcase Usahawan Sarawak and Sarawak Kitchen here, yesterday.
Pesta Lundu 2018 being held for three days since Friday at Lundu Waterfront will conclude today. Among activities the being held are boat races, decorated boats, ‘bermukun’, street soccer, muaythai, dart competition, autoshow, mooncakes, stage concert, Karaoke and fishing contests, exhibition and sales.
Naroden also said that Sarawak Kitchen received good response from local entrepreneurs. Touching on Pesta Lundu 2018, Naroden said all the activities held had benefitted the people of various races in the state. Also present were Tanjong Datu Assemblywoman, Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu.
