KUCHING: In conjunction with the World Library and Congress Information and the Federation of the International Library Association 2018 (WLIC IFLA 2018), Sarawak State Library reently held the Sarawak Libraries Colloquium.
This programme was a platform for brainstorming and an experience for those participating and presenting their papers or posters for IFLA WLIC 2018.
Some 151 librarians and librarian practitioners from Sarawak, Selangor, Kelantan, Penang, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Kedah benefited from the programme.
The highlight of the programme was the colloquium on Indigenous Voices and Profession Way Forward in Digital Economy Dialogue between Dr. Hajah Rashidah Haji Bolhassan, Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak State Library, Puan Hajah Imilia Ibrahim, Chairman of the Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia (PPM) Kumpulan Sarawak and Dr. Nor Edzan Nasir. The colloquium was moderated by Japri Bujang Masli.
