MUKAH: The Sarawak state-level Maulidur Rasul celebration was enlivened by 122 contingents in the Maulidur Rasul assembly and procession.

The event was graced by the presence of the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, alongside Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Wan Junaidi led the procession, accompanied by his wife and Abang Johari, as they marched with the contingents from Pehin Setia Raja Square through the Mukah wet market area before returning to the square.

Abang Johari remarked that the presence of the Sarawak Governor and his wife not only enlivened the gathering but also symbolised the unity and harmony within the state.

“Alhamdulillah, this morning we gathered at Pehin Setia Raja Square to commemorate the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW.

“The presence of Tun and Toh Puan not only added to the event but also served as a symbol of the unity and harmony between the Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
