KUCHING: The Sarawak government held a Joint Committee for Industrial Coordination (JBI) meeting with the Investment, Trade, and Industry Ministry (MITI) to coordinate policies introduced by Sarawak.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan stated that this meeting is crucial to ensure the policies introduced in the region are effective in attracting both domestic and foreign investors for the economic well-being of Malaysia in general and Sarawak in particular.

“This is to ensure the introduced policies are effective in attracting investment and planning industrial growth.

“It will also ensure that the policies and initiatives are aligned and mutually supportive between both governments,” he said during the JBI meeting with MITI here on today (July 29).
