KUCHING: The SUKMA Sarawak mixed lawn bowling team delivered an impressive performance on the first day of the mixed team competition for Group T.
The duo, consisting of Awang Mohammad Sharszan F. Awang Nasaruddin and Nur Syurhaidah Asaral, won all three matches contested at the Sarawak Lawn Bowling Arena on today.
The competition, which began at 8 am, saw Awang Mohammad Sharszan and Nur Syurhaidah defeated their opponents from Perak, Alysha Aqhilah Azmir and Firman Hassanei Shariati Abdul Halim, with a score of 18-10.
Meanwhile, in the 10.30 am match against Pahang, the duo, comprising Kyra Mya Zara Abd Manaf and Muhammad Haziq Akil Muhamada Hanif, won with a score of 19-7.
In the afternoon session, the strong pairing claimed a definitive victory over Sabah’s team, comprising Nur Azami Azlie and Nurafeqah Qhalisah Alham with 20-5.
The Group T competition will resume on Sunday at 10 am, with Sarawak set to face Kelantan.
