KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has promoted Sarawak as the ideal location for a Chinese solar manufacturer to expand its base of operation.
According to a press release, the company has plans to expand outside the mainland of China to cater to the increasing demand from the global market.
Awang Tengah, who is currently in China, visited the company’s premises where it offers a wide range of product line for the residential, commercial and industrial users.
During the visit, he promoted Sarawak as a suitable location for the company’s production as the state has an ecosystem established in Samajaya and Samalaju.
“Sarawak is a strategic destination for investors to penetrate regional and global markets.
“This potential project is in line with Sarawak’s Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 which is driven by data and technology,” said Awang Tengah, who is also the Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment (MINTRED).
