MIRI: Sarawak Oil Palms (SOP) commemorated its 55th anniversary in a grand style with a magnificent celebration held at Imperial Hotel here on Friday night.

The event was an exquisite blend of nostalgia, recognition, and forward-looking philanthropy, attended by more than 1,000 guests, predominantly comprising dedicated SOP employees from across Malaysia and Singapore.

The evening was also illuminated by the launch of “Honouring 55 Years of Excellence: Celebrating the Heroes of Our Success,’ a captivating book that encapsulates the remarkable journey of SOP from its humble beginnings to its current eminence as a leading company in the palm oil sector.

The book serves as an ode to the tireless efforts, innovation, and dedication of the individuals who have steered SOP towards its many accomplishments.

The highlight of the evening, however, was the unveiling of the SOP Foundation, a testimonial to the organisation’s commitment to giving back to society.

This philanthropic arm aims to initiate and support projects that drive positive social, environmental, and community impact.
