MUKAH: Sarawak performed well in the National Ultimate Frisbee Championship held recently in Alor Setar, Kedah.

The Sarawak team consists of players from three secondary schools in Mukah: SMK St Patrick, SMK Mukah and SMK Three Rivers.

The men’s team secured third place out of 16 teams while the women’s team was crowned Gold Category champion, placing them in the top five out of 16 teams.

Sarawak head coach Ismandi Dillah said the players were selected through district and divisional-level championships held in early March.

“This competition was participated by students under 15 years old, and each team consisted of at least three different ethnicity.

“In this championship, both the men and women’s teams demonstrated excellent game quality, and the team’s performance improved compared to last year.”

He also expressed his appreciation to all the students involved for their dedication.

He noted that they trained consistently, exhibited very high discipline during training, and adhered to the coach’s instructions throughout training.
