KUCHING: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Sarawak Contingent expressed their condolences to the family of the late former Head of State Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng.
“Condolences to the entire family of the late former Head of State on behalf of the contingent’s police force.
“We pray that his soul be placed among the righteous,” said Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail in a joint statement with his deputy Datuk Mancha Ata on Saturday (Jan 29) on the passing of the late Salahuddin.
The late Salahuddin, 100, passed away of natural causes at Normah Medical Centre here at around 11.45pm on Friday.
He was the third and sixth Head of State from 1977 to 1981 and again from 2000 to 2014, the first ever to hold the position twice.
