KUCHING: Sarawak has a total of 88 Covid-19 deaths to date after recording one death from Kapit.
The 66-year-old local man who was Case 10,250 was treated at Kapit Hospital after experiencing lethargy, fever and cough for several days.
His rT-PCR rapid test kit screening came back positive on March 1.
His health deteriorated and he was announced dead on March 6. The deceased had aplastic anaemia; a condition that occurs when the body stops producing blood cells in sufficient numbers.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) extended its condolences to the family members of the deceased.
