KUCHING: Entry forms for the Sarawak Regatta 2024 will be available for purchase starting Sept 9, with the registration closing on Oct 7.

Entry forms can be obtained from the Sarawak Rivers Board (SRB) headquarters at Electra House, Power Street, here.

The Sarawak Regatta 2024 is scheduled to take place from Nov 1 to 3. A briefing for team managers and a ballot draw will be held on Oct 22 at 9am at the Borneo Cultures Museum.

This year’s competition will feature 16 race events across two categories: Local (for Malaysian citizens) and Open (for non-Malaysian citizens).

The Local category events are: Mixed Bidar 10-rower (8 male rowers, 2 female rowers), Men’s Bidar 15-rower, Men’s Bidar 20-rower, Men’s Bidar 25-rower, Men’s Bidar 30-rower (Raja Sungai TYT Cup), Men’s Bidar 20-rower (Inter-Division), and Men’s Kenyalang 20-rower (Ministries/Agencies/GLC/Private).

The Open category events are: Men Bidar 15-rower, Men’s Bidar 20-rower, Men’s Bidar 25-rower, Men’s Bidar 30-rower (Borneo International Cup), Men’s Kenyalang 20-rower (VIP), Mixed Kenyalang 20-rower (15 male rowers, 5 female rowers), Men’s Kenyalang 20-rower (IPTA/IPTS), Mixed Kenyalang 20-rower (15 male rowers, 5 female rowers; IPTA/IPTS), and Men’s Bidar 30-rower (3km International Marathon).

Participants in all events under the Local category, as well as those from public and private institutions of higher learning (IPTA/IPTS), are required to submit a complete list of rowers, including their Identification Card/Student/Staff ID numbers, for each event they participate in.

This list must be verified by the Team Manager and submitted to the Sarawak Regatta 2024 Secretariat no later than Oct 22.

Any registration form not accompanied by supporting documents, such as the list of rowers or other required documents specified in the Sarawak Regatta 2024 Rules, may be rejected by the Secretariat, even if the official registration form and fee have been submitted before the registration deadline.

The participation fee for events involving the bidar boat is RM10 per rower, while for events involving the kenyalang boat, the fee is RM15 per rower.

Each event entry requires the use of the official registration form, which costs RM10 per form.
