KUCHING: The Sarawak Skills Group of Learning Institutions will be holding its 24th Convocation on March 12.
Sarawak Skills’ Executive Director Hallman Sabri said a total, about 697 graduates will receive their scrolls.
The graduates, from various academic and skills programmes, have completed their studies at the certificate, diploma and bachelor’s degree level(s).
He said the ceremony would be held in two session at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to safeguard the interests and well-being of the graduates, staff members and stakeholders.
The Sarawak Skills Group of Learning Institutions comprise the follow institutions: Sarawak Skills Development Centre (Sarawak Skills Kuching), i-CATS University College, Automotive and Welding Institute of Sarawak (AWISAR), Sarawak Electrical Industry Training Institute (SEITI), Sarawak Skills Mukah, Sarawak Skills Miri, International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak (i-CATS Miri) and Sarawak Agriculture Vocational Training Institute (SAVTI), Kabuloh.
Hallman also said Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to officiate the morning session which will include the presentation of industry awards and various achievement awards to selected graduates.
