KUCHING: Sarawak Skills Development Centre (Sarawak Skills) held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM), and a strategic planning session on June 29-30 for the Federation of Malaysian Skills Development Centres (FMSDC) at its headquarters here.
Sarawak Skills Group of Learning Institutions executive director and FMSDC chairman Hallman Sabri said it was an honour for Sarawak Skills to welcome the various skills development centres in the country.
“FMSDC comprises 13 skills development centres, including Sarawak Skills.
“FMSDC works closely with stakeholders, namely the federal and state governments and the various industries to develop Malaysia’s skilled talent pool in line with industry needs.”
“This synergy will also support the latest industry developments and trends, including the application of the latest technologies in accordance with global environmental sustainability standards to transform existing operations and practices,” he added.
After the AGM, Sabri and various members of Sarawak Skills senior management, including i-CATS University College vice-chancellor Prof Dr Shahren Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, facilitated the strategic planning session.
