KUCHING: Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen presented a grant of RM10,000 to the Sarawak Tang Soo Do Association.

The contribution is part of his recognition and support towards not only to the association but to the martial arts.

“May this contribution assist the association in nurturing more talented Tang Soo Do athletes for future competitions and challenges,” he said in his Facebook post.

Chong’s special assistant Michael Kong Feng Nian presented the grant on his behalf during the Fifth Tang Soo Do Championship Open tournament held on July 6 and 7.

“The tournament is a testament to your years of dedicated training and a moment to challenge yourselves to new heights,” the MP added.

Outstanding athletes will represent Sarawak at the upcoming National Championship scheduled for Oct 5 and 6 in Sibu.

“Your achievements from last year have already instilled great confidence in us. Let us now unite once more to bring glory to Sarawak.

“As we eagerly anticipate the national championship, I encourage you to aim for even greater success and bring more honour to our state,” Chong said.
