2020 State Budget
The Sarawak government will continue to develop the youth and sports industry in order for the state to become a sports powerhouse in Malaysia.
Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said the Sarawak government would provide RM8.3 million to carry out various programmes and initiatives — RM4 million would be for the Sarawak Youth Venture Capital.
He said on top of this, the State government would also provide funding to implement other projects.
Among them would be RM9 million for Sarawak Sports Village, RM4 million for upgrading and repair of Sports Complex in Sarikei, RM3 million for Selangau Mini Sports Complex, RM2.7 million for repair works of Miri Sports Complex and RM2.5 million for Simunjan Sports Complex.
