KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sarawak Tribune digital reporter Edwinnie Einstein Unji Edwin aspires to become a lecturer within the next five years.

A graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication (Hons), Edwinnie plans to pursue a master’s degree to achieve his goal.

“That being said, I am going to do my master’s degree in the same programme. Because ever since nine years old, I have always wanted to become a lecturer.”

He shared his ambitions when speaking to reporters after attending the afternoon session of the 28th Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Convocation Ceremony at DeTar Putra on Thursday (Nov 7).

He added that the most rewarding part of his university journey was meeting and connecting with people.

“Because I am a social person, so during the first two years (2020 to 2022) we only study through online.

“Then from 2022 to 2024 we manage to do our study through face-to face, and no one is sleeping in class.

“To be honest, studying during the Covid-19 lockdown is very challenging, as there is no engagement between the students and the lecturer, and that is why I am glad I was able to connect better with my friends and lecturers during the second half of my study.”

Edwinnie also reflected on his internship experience with Sarawak Tribune, where he later secured a full-time position.

“The internship experience was amazing, and I’m glad to have continued working with the team after completing it,” he added.
