MATRIC REGISTRATION

KUCHING:  Sarawak students that are scheduled to register for their enrolment at matriculation centres located in Malaya and Labuan can breathe sigh of relief as the Sarawak Volunteers (SV) and Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) will provide transportation and logistic support to ensure that all Sarawakian students will be able to make it on their registration day.

Sarawak Volunteers in collaboration with the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) will be extending logistic and transportation assistance to Sarawak students as an initiative to help those who will be registering alone.

“This initiative is offered in cases whereby parents or guardians are unable to send their children to register due to the current constraints, such as having to undergo compulsory quarantine in Sarawak upon returning from West Malaysia, Sabah, or Labuan,” said the Sarawak Volunteers Secretariat in a Facebook post yesterday.

The closing date for registration is August 1, at 12 noon. For registrations, all applications and submissions can be done through the link https://bit.ly/2X5iqUh.

With regard to conditions, they said that the initiative was open to all Sarawakians registering for enrolment at the Matriculation College under MoE and MoHE in Malaya and Labuan.

Secondly, they said that this initiative was only open for students who are going to register alone — without being accompanied by parents or guardians.

“Flight tickets are managed and borne by the students themselves,” said the Sarawak Volunteers Secretariat.

Sarawak Volunteers will provide transportation from the airport and to the hotel accommodation (if required) or to the students’ respective college on the registration day.
