KUCHING: Sarawakian Evelyn Ting, 25, emerged as the first runner-up of Miss World Malaysia 2022.
She was among 14 other contestants from all over Malaysia who took part in the grand finals of the pageant held at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu last night.
Ting also took home the Miss World Sarawak 2022 title after receiving the most online votes during the semifinals.
Apart from that, She was also presented with several other titles during the show including the People’s Choice Award (for garnering the most online votes in the finals), the Most Eloquent Queen and the Best Designer Dress (by Harizan Khaider and Keith Sim).
Evelyn came second to Sabahan Wenanita Angang who was crowned as the winner of Miss World Malaysia 2022, while in third place was Anya Kimberly, also from Sabah.
Wenanita from Kuala Penyu, Sabah would be representing Malaysia in the Miss World 2022 contest.
Betong native Nancy Tor was also among the top six finalists of the pageant.
