KUCHING: Television film Misi produced by Sarawakians made history when it entered Astro First’s Video On Demand (VOD) slot.
Featuring well-known actors such as Sahronizam Noor, Anding Indrawani, Melati Melissa, Fir Affandi, Zaha Borhan, Abdul Aziz, Ali Mohamad and many more, the telefilm also showcases elements of art and culture in Sarawak.
Producer and director Mohamad Ghazali Jeman said this was one way to develop the film industry in addition to promoting interesting places in Sarawak.
“The telefilm was filmed in 14 days around areas in Kuching such as Kampung Telaga Air, Santubong and some rural villages.
“The other locations included Kampung Trombol, Damai Central, Pantai Damai and Kampung Sibu Laut.
“The cast consists of 99 per cent locals paired with experienced actor Sahronizam Noor,” he said at a press conference at Golden Screen Cinemas, The Spring here, on Monday night (July 25).
The telefilm revolves around the topics of drug abuse, betrayal and family.
