KUCHING: In conjunction with the global celebration of Ombuds Day on October 10, Sarawakians are invited to participate in the Sarawak Ombudsman Logo and Motto Design Competition, which runs from the same day (October 10) to January 10, 2025.
In a Facebook post, UKAS said that this competition is an initiative to raise awareness and encourage public engagement regarding the roles and functions of the Ombudsman.
For the record, the Sarawak Ombudsman Ordinance 2023 was passed by the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly on November 20, 2023, making Sarawak the first state in Malaysia to enforce such a law.
