KUCHING: Don’t ever take Sarawak’s prevailing peace and stability for granted.

This advice to the people came from Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, who said Sarawak is a peaceful and harmonious state which allows the people to focus on nation building.

“Thanks to the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), General Operations Force (PGA) for providing the security all the time, be it at time of peace or time of hostility.

“Sadly, hostility is increasingly seen in Malaysia and all over the world. Perhaps, if people spend more time in the hospital and seeing those experiencing the last few minutes of their lives, they will treasure peace a lot more,” he said in a Facebook post after attending the breaking-of-fast meal with the Sarawak PGA Brigade at Jalan Field Force here, last night (Apr 1).

Dr Sim, who is also Batu Kawah assemblyman, thanked the Sarawak PGA Brigade for hosting the event.

“Thanks also to Sarawak PGA Brigade commanding officer SAC Dr Che Ghazali Che Awng for bringing the senior officers and family members from the brigade and the 3 Battalions in Sarawak together for this annual tradition,” he said.
