SIBU: Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) Sibu will host the Sarawakku Reading Carnival together with Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who is also the Kuala Rajang assemblyman, at the Rajang Community Hall in Kuala Rajang.

According to a press release from Pustaka Sibu today (Nov 26), the programme will take place on Nov 30 (Saturday), starting at 7.30 am.

The Sarawakku Reading Carnival aims to instil an interest in reading and cultivate a culture of knowledge and understanding among the Sarawak community to develop a more informed and knowledgeable society.

“To realise this programme, various activities related to reading or promoting reading are planned, including workshops, practical activities, sharing sessions, exhibitions, and more.

“This programme will take the form of a carnival to create a fun and engaging atmosphere, encouraging the community to embrace reading and learning regardless of age.

“In addition, various exciting activities will be held for children, such as storytelling, arts and crafts, and STEM activities. Meanwhile, the Liquid Hand Soap Making Course and Pineapple Chilli Sauce Making Workshop are designed to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” the statement added.
