MUKAH: The Sarawak Dragon Dance, Lion Dance and Wushu Art Competition will be held at Dewan Suarah Mesra here, starting from August 25 to 28.

The Dragon, Lion Dance and Wushu Mukah chairman Ho Ing Siong said the competition will run from 8 am to 9 pm.

It will feature 350 students from various schools in Kuching, Kota Samarahan, Betong, Bintangor, Sibu, Sarikei, Bintulu, and Miri.

Ho said the main objective of this event is to promote and preserve the arts and culture to communities in Sarawak.

Additionally, the competition aims to discover and nurture talents and skills within the art community.

He added that they also collaborate with relevant parties to create and implement programmes strategically.
