KUCHING: Sarawak has secured a spot in the Round of 16 stages after taking the top spot in the SUKMA eFootball Men’s Individual Group F yesterday (Aug 20).
Mohammad Khafiman Sofian, representing the Land of the Hornbill, will be joined by his fellow statesman, Hazwan Faiq Hailwan, who had secured second place in Group A.
Khafiman landed himself with eight points after going up against Kelantan and Kedah.
Going up against Kelantan’s Muhammad Irsyad Rusydi Zulfakri, their first match ended in a 1-1 draw with both having to share a point.
However, in their second meet, Khafiman took home three points by beating Irsyad 2-1.
In his first encounter with Kedah’s Muhammad Nabil Rosli, Khafiman brought home three points with a 2-0 win, and shared a point with Kedah in the second match after a 0-0 draw.
The SUKMA eFootball competition will resume on Thursday (Aug 22) for knockout stages.
