SIBU: Melinda Wong Kwong Hung, from Sibu, received the Best Commissioner For Oaths (CFO) award for Sarawak at the first CFOs Malaysia Convention 2023.
The convention, organised by the Malaysian CFO alliance known as Pertubuhan Gabungan Pesuruhjaya Sumpah Malaysia (PESUMA), took place at a prominent hotel in Selangor recently.
The convention’s theme, ‘Towards Professionalism and Integrity,’ aimed to unite all CFOs in Malaysia.
Around 200 CFOs from across Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak, attended the event.
Wong, who also serves as Sarawak’s Chief Coordinator for CFOs, led the state’s delegates during the convention.
The convention featured several programmes, including the presentation of awards for the best CFO from each state and the overall best CFO in Malaysia.
The convention director Ahmad Azhar Mohamed Kechik said that the event received support and cooperation from the CFOs Unit of the Federal Court of Malaysia and the Palace of Justice of Malaysia.
The convention was officiated by the Judge of Syariah Court of Appeal Datuk Mohd Radzi Abd Latif.
Also present were PESUMA chairwoman Hazlin Mohammad and PERSUMA’s head of Information, Event, and Promotion Ahmad Azhar.
