Sarikei goes from orange to yellow

KUCHING: Sarikei District’s status has turned from orange to yellow, with only one new Covid-19 case recorded today, and only 15 locally transmitted cases within the last 14 days.

Kapit, Song, Dalat, Bintulu, Kanowit, Miri, Sibu and Kuching remained as red zones with local transmitted cases at 1,961 within the last 14 days.

Bau, Lundu, Subis and Betong also remained orange with 105 locally transmitted cases reported.

The districts that remained yellow are Beluru, Matu, Daro, Sebauh, Lawas, Telang Usan, Bukit Mabong, Tatau, Pakan, Serian, Belaga, Meradong, Julau, Simunjan, Lubok Antu, Selangau, Samarahan and Sri Aman with 132 locally transmitted cases reported.

Meanwhile, Sarawak has 12 active clusters, namely Bintang Daily Cluster in Meradong; Jalan Pengiran Cluster in Matu; Tabong Cluster in Bau; Indah Riang Cluster, Keranji Tabuan Cluster and Stutong Cluster in Kuching; Bedayan Cluster in Serian; Rakut Cluster, Jelita Cluster and Bah Sayap Cluster in Miri; Bukit Sekubong Cluster in Sebauh; and Pasai Cluster in Sibu.

Out of the 12 clusters, nine did not record any increase to the number of cases as of today.

However, the Pasai Cluster in Sibu recorded an increase of 32 cases bringing the total number of cases to 2,001 while the Rakut Cluster and Jelita Cluster in Miri recorded two new cases respectively.
