KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from members of the Sarawak Artist Society (SAS) at his office here today (June 23).
The purpose of the visit was to present a commemorative painting to the Premier as a gesture of appreciation to the Sarawak government for supporting and funding an art camp held in Annah Rais in December last year.
The art camp was attended by 26 local and international painters.
Among the SAS members present at the handover of the painting today were vice president Sebastian Jong, Gerald Goh and Aloysius Ho .
Also present were Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting.
