KUCHING: Despite a light drizzle this morning, residents of Satok remained enthusiastic as they participated in a Merdeka Walk to commemorate the upcoming National Day celebration.

Some 100 residents walked 1.4 kilometres from Kampung Bandarsah to the Darul Hana Bridge at Kuching Waterfront, waving their Jalur Gemilang flags.

Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki, who flagged off the participants, said this event was held as a prelude to the National Day celebration in Satok.
