KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has unveiled the SC DNA, a set of guiding principles that the commission holds in high regard and that encompasses the values that have been inculcated in all its staff members over the years.
They are leadership, stakeholder focus, integrity, risk mindset, innovation and talent growth, SC chairman Datuk Seri Awang Adek Hussin announced at a special ceremony to present long-service awards and letters of appreciation yesterday.
The ceremony, which honoured distinguished staff members who had dedicated their services to the commission since its inception in 1993, kick-started the SC’s year-long celebration of its 30-year milestone, the commission posted on its Facebook page.
The event was also attended by its newly appointed managing director Kamarudin Hashim.
Awang Adek, in his address to thank the staff, said that 30 years is a significant milestone, and the SC come a long way since its humble beginnings.
“It is impossible to overstate the positive impact that the SC has had on the nation. A major contributor to the success is due to the SC’s most important asset, which is its people,” he said.
The SC will release its 30th anniversary book later this year to commemorate this milestone by presenting a collection of thought leadership capturing the 30-year evolution of the Malaysian capital market. – BERNAMA
