KUCHING: AZAM Sarawak is actively engaging with youth at the Sarawak Career and Training (SCAT) Fair 2024, starting today until tomorrow (Nov 2 – 3) at the Sibu Indoor Stadium, as part of its mission to equip Sarawakian youth with essential skills and knowledge for a dynamic career landscape.

AZAM’s booth will feature an array of interactive activities designed to help youth explore potential career paths and gain insights into their interests and talents. Highlights include a Kahoot! quiz to test participants’ knowledge on AZAM’s role and mission, and a ‘Teka dan Menang’ challenge with exclusive prizes up for grabs.

Youth will also have the opportunity to explore the AZAM Young Souls (AYS) initiative, which provides guidance and skills-building programmes to help align their career paths with their aspirations.

In a statement, AZAM Sarawak’s Strategic Communications manager Hassnal Hakim emphasised the importance of AZAM’s participation in SCAT Fair as a platform for promoting the ‘Mansang’ brand and contributing to the state’s development policies.

“We aim to engage Sarawak’s youth in the development ecosystem, preparing them for the modern career landscape, which increasingly demands strong digital and communication skills.

“We are also focused on strengthening the AZAM Young Souls (AYS) brand to attract committed youth.

“Next year, AZAM will launch Rakan AZAM, a network of young people across Sarawak designed to enhance community spirit and encourage active participation in building the future of the state,” he said.

The SCAT Fair 2024, organised by the Ministry of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD) in collaboration with Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) and supported by the Social Security Organization (SOCSO), is expected to provide diverse career and training opportunities.

Through its presence, AZAM reaffirms its commitment to ensuring Sarawakian youth have access to resources and opportunities that empower them to build a successful and competitive future.

Visitors are invited to explore AZAM’s booth at the Sibu Indoor Stadium to learn more about the organisation’s initiatives and the programmes available for personal and professional development.
