MARUDI: A primary school in Baram – SK Long Jegan, Tinjar, was forced to close on Tuesday, after it was inundated in two-feet deep of floodwater.
A Civil Defence Force (APM) spokesperson said, the water began flooding the area following heavy rainfall since November 25.
Other affected areas included Rumah Seliman Lepo, Kampung Long Jegan A, Long Jegan Health Clinic and Long Loyang, Tinjar.
As of yesterday (Nov 29), there has been no evacuation of the affected villagers.
A team of APM personnel from Miri have been dispatched to the affected area to monitor the situation.
