SRI AMAN: A total of RM45,000 was allocated to the SJK Chung Hua Simanggang Board of Management for the Recreation and Welfare Club of the staff. Another RM5,000 was allocated to the school’s Curriculum Committee.

Assistant Minister of Community Wellbeing Datuk Francis Harden Hollis who is also Simanggang Assemblyman announced the allocation when speaking to declare open the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of the school yesterday. He also launched the Parents Consultative Council 2018.

In his speech Harden pointed out that parents need to encourage their children to master modern gadgets especially those meant to assist learning at home and in school.

This is so as modern gadgets like the  smart phones have access to the Internet that offers various important information needed as long as these are not abused or misused.

“Apart from the sources of learning in the school, capable parents must help prepare Internet access for their kids by means of modern gadgets to their children for the purpose of lessons revision at home.

Besides that, parents need to always monitor the movement of their children while they are away from home. This is to ensure they are not involved in any negative activity that could ruin their future lives.

“Thus I urge parents to help teachers in producing excellent human resources by helping to monitor their children whenever they go out from the confinement of the house in the future,” said Harden.
