Minister of Public Utilities (Water Supply), Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn (front row, 5th right) presents a mock cheque for RM500,000 to Chong, witnessed by other guests.

SERIAN:  Minister of Public Utilities (Water Supply), Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn, presented an allocation from the State government of RM500,000 to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (SJK) Chung Hua Tapah to its chairman, Chong Kuek Fah.

The allocation is intended for the PTA to carry out its various activities with the cooperation of parents and teachers.

Roland, who is also Tarat Assemblyman also officiated a Tua Pek Kong celebration at Tapah Community Hall at 24th Mile, Kuching-Serian Road.

Various activities were held last Tuesday night such as cultural performances, Karaoke session. The celebration is being held until this Saturday. The event ended with a cake-cutting and lucky draws.

Also present were organising chairman for the event, Chong Say Chaw, Penghulu of Tapah, Voon Ming Sen, Kapitan of Tapah, Lee Sie Choon and invited guests.
