SIBU: Citizen Middle School Sibu at Jalan Kong Yit Khim here received a donation of 100 boxes of face masks from the Kampung Kong Yit Khim Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK).

The face masks were presented by the chairman of JKKK Kampung Kong Yit Khim, Kapitan Theng Swee Ming to headmaster Ling Shean Leong.

Theng said the contribution aimed to raise public awareness on the importance of safety measures in facing the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This is part of our efforts to help school sessions during the new norm following the spread of this epidemic.

“We also want to increase awareness among students about the threat of Covid-19 if they do not adopt preventive measures such as using face masks,” he said.

Theng also hoped that the public would continue to comply with the standard operating procedures set by the government to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the state, especially in Sibu.
