KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen has contributed RM135,526 to SK St Mary to upgrade the school’s facilities and provide better support for its students and staff.

The funds will partly be used to replace worn-out classroom furniture, including desks and chairs, to create a more comfortable and conducive learning environment for the students.

“Additionally, the allocation will be used to purchase a new office sofa set and glass cabinets,” he said in a Facebook post today(Nov 19).

He explained that the new glass cabinets will be used to display the school’s trophies and plaques of achievements, as well as to store traditional attire for the cultural club, promoting both academic and cultural pride within the school community.

“My office has consistently provided funding to the school for its annual activities.

“Each year, we also supply new school uniforms and shoes to students from underprivileged families,” he said.
