KUCHING: A total of 60 Scout members from across Sarawak took part in the Junior Airmanship Course (1st Class) held at St. Joseph’s Private Secondary School here on yesterday (May 22).

The course, organised by the Sarawak Air Scout Secretariat, offered an extensive curriculum covering technical aircraft knowledge, aviation law, meteorology, and advanced radio telephony.

According to a statement, these sessions were conducted by experienced aviation professionals to provide a robust and interactive training experience.

“This programme aims to equip the young Scouts with a deep understanding of essential aviation principles, laying a strong foundation for future pursuits in the aviation industry,” it said.

Meanwhile, Sarawak Scout Assistant Chief Commissioner Jerome Lim Ee Wu welcomed the participants and stressed the importance of active engagement in the sessions.

He highlighted that the knowledge and practical skills gained would be crucial for their development.
