BETONG: The search and rescue (SAR) operation for a missing Indonesian has entered the second day.

The man, identified as Suhaidi, had gone fishing in a forest at Salcra Batang Ai, Lubuk Antu, near here on Tuesday (Nov 10).

“SAR operations started around 8.30pm on Nov 10 with a search radius of 1km,” according to a Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) statement.

The SAR operations were conducted by personnel from the Royal Malaysian Police, Malaysian Civil Defence Force, Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Salcra) as well as a K9 unit.

At press time, operations were still ongoing.
