KUCHING: Fifty-two-year-old Sebli Paying who went missing on Apr 21 from Rh Suyong Stumbin, Sri Aman was found dead near his farm not far from where he had left his motorcycle.
The Fire and Rescue Department’s (Bomba) search and rescue (SAR) operation ended at 1pm following the discovery of Sebli’s body at 11.35am on Saturday.
The SAR operation had resumed earlier in the morning after the search was called off on Apr 28.
On Apr 21, a police report was lodged by the family when Sebli failed to return to the longhouse after he went out to collect bamboo shoots at a nearby farm.
Several enforcement agencies were involved in the SAR operation including the police, Civil Defence Force (APM) and the villagers in the area.
