BINTULU: The search and rescue (SAR) operation to locate a car that plunged into Kemena River from Sebauh Public Works Department (JKR) Wharf, has entered the ninth day as of today.
The State Fire Department operations centre said the search continued today at 8am by diving at two potential locations – which was based on sonar scan results and 50m from the car’s last location.
The diving team involved firefighters, marine police and Samarahan’s volunteer diving team.
The team had carried out a total of three dives at the locations from 8am till 5pm but to no avail.
The search operation was later halted due to the nightfall and will be continued tomorrow.
